Playa Linda is the seafoam-colored beach cottage located picture perfectly in front of the Blue Hole Coral Reef, on Shacks Beach. Playa Linda has two separate apartments that share the gated yard and BBQ area, tropical gardens and beach access. Playa Linda is next door neighbor east of the Villa Tropical Hotel. Since 1970, one family has owned and lived in this beach home. It is welcoming and serene and holds antiquities intermixed with coastal chic décor. It is cute, comfortable, clean, bright, breezy, and boasts unobstructed panoramic views of Shacks Beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

Playa Linda’s lower-level (PL1) [downstairs] oceanfront main room may be the absolute first ever structure built, at the edge of the dunes, on Shacks Beach. It has low ceilings throughout the unit. PL1 is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with a small kitchen, 2 living areas, and a covered back porch. There is a Full-size bed with desk in one room and a Full-size bed and dresser in the second. The third bedroom has a Queen-size bed with dresser and private bathroom with shower. All bedrooms have split A/C units.

Playa Linda’s upper level (PL2) [upstairs] is ocean fronting with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and deck views that will take your breath away. The bedrooms have a King-size bed in one and a Queen and a Twin in the second. Both bedrooms have split A/C units, large closets and dressers. It has a well-equipped kitchen with island seating inside and outdoor covered dining. There is an extended open sky private oceanfront deck with comfortable deck furniture. PL2 even has a shaded quiet back balcony that looks over the yard onto the distant cliffs.

Each unit has one free designated parking space on the property, free Satellite TV and free internet services on site. Coin laundry machines are available next door at the Villa Tropical Hotel. The units share the backyard BBQ area and the private beach access and outdoor shower areas. The Playa Linda units have generator power and cistern water backup.

PL1 is the first floor, oceanfront three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in the historic Shacks Beach cottage affectionately known as Playa Linda. Possibly the first or second structure ever built, this close to the dunes, at Shacks Beach back in the 1960’s. The ceilings are low, they are 7ft throughout. PL1 is the entire ground floor of Casa Playa Linda.

PL1 has a small but well-equipped kitchen with an island and includes an indoor dining table. PL1’s kitchen/living area fronts to the deck and ocean through a wall of windows. The unit is airy, bright, and comfortable and its beach country cottage charm is undeniable. PL1’s number one features are its deck and the view of the Blue Hole Coral Reef (directly out The main bedroom has a Full-size bed and a cute desk. The second bedroom has a Full-size bed.. The third bedroom has a Queen-size bed and adjoining private bathroom. All of the bedrooms have dressers and split A/C units. There are two small bathrooms, both with a standup shower and on-demand hot water hookup. There is an inviting living room with patio and magnificent ocean views (and sounds) through a wall of windows. PL1 also has a 2nd lounge area in the back of the house. It also has it’s own back door entrance and deck by the BBQ area and parking.

PL1 has one free designated parking space. PL1 may apply for a 2nd parking pass if space permits. The units share the house beach access and outdoor shower areas and the backyard BBQ. Coin laundry machines are available next door at the Villa Tropical Hotel. PL1 has generator power and cistern water backup. Sleeps 6 people maximum @ $350/night.

PL2 is the second floor, oceanfront two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment in the beautiful beach cottage named Playa Linda. Picture perfectly located overlooking the Blue Hole Coral Reef at Shacks Beach.

Twenty steps up from the parking area, PL2’s entrance is oceanside, from a stellar deck with shaded dining and living area and spectacular panoramic ocean views. PL2 is simply elegant, bright, and airy, with high ceilings and a private back balcony that looks onto the distant cliffs. PL2 has an open concept living and kitchen area with an island counter with built in benches for dining or for use as a workspace. The living room has a couch and chairs and TV unit, but the real living space is outside.

There is a King-size bed in the master bedroom. There is a Queen and a Twin-size mattress in the second bedroom. Each room is equipped with ceiling fans and there are split A/C units. Both bedrooms have large wood built-in closets and dressers. There is one bathroom with a standup shower and on-demand hot water hookup.

There is one free designated parking space. PL2 shares the house backyard BBQ, beach access and outdoor shower area with the residing guests of PL1. Coin laundry machines are available next door at the Villa Tropical Hotel. PL2 has generator power and cistern water backup. Sleeps 4 people maximum @ $275/n; $295/n for maximum 5 people.
