About Shacks Beach

“Shacks” is still one of Puerto Rico’s best kept secrets.

World-class athletes surf, sail and kite here annually.

"Shacks”…has an aesthetic quality that many other spots lack. A small group of houses line a short stretch of what is eight miles of otherwise undeveloped beach, snaking its way along the coast from Jobos, in the east to the appropriately named 'Survival Beach' five miles or so to the west, where the sand abruptly meets a tall unscalable cliff. This is a place where you can indulge in those Robinson Crusoe fantasies without as much as Friday's foot prints in the white coral sand.

“Shacks” is a much coveted area that draws return visitors annually to enjoy surfing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, snorkeling, scuba, swimming, horseback riding and beach walking. The “Blue Hole” coral reef is as stunning when seen from your deck as while you are snorkeling or diving deep within.
